Get strong with an exercise ball

exercise ball

Training with an exercise ball makes you stronger and improves your body control. The ball adds a balance moment and challenges the muscles different than when training with weights or body weight.

All exercises involving a ball involves your core muscles, you get a stronger posture in all your training but also in your every day life. A strong, athletic posture gives you more efficient movement patterns. This leads to more effective repetitions per exercise.

Your choice of ball size is depending on your length. Most people prefer an exercise ball that is length minus 105 centimeter.

Take a seat on the ball to find out the size, sit on the ball, with your feet in ground. The size is right if the angle is 90 degrees in both knees and hips.

Try the ball in a store or try out your size in a gym before buying one. If you choose between two, take the smaller one, the most common mistake is to get one that is too large.

Also try the ball by exercising a few of your favorites. The most important thing is the feeling, if it feels good, it is often also the right size.
